The Course: The starting line will be near the softball field at the southeast corner of the park. Both the 5K Walk and 5K Run take place entirely within the boundaries of the 100-acre city park, Bush's Pasture Park. Both courses are "cross country" in style over paved bike paths, barkdust trails, grass.
Registration Fees:
NOTE: ALL ENTRANTS MUST COMPLETE AN INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FORM. Parent or guardian must sign waiver for child. All participants must wear an official race number.
Entry Fees 5K Walk or Run (no T-shirt) $10.00
5K Walk or Run (with T-shirt) $20.00
Late Registration (after 7/17) Add $4.00

Day of Race Details & T-shirt Pickup:
Registration and T-Shirt Pickup begins 6:30 am. The starting line and registration area is in the grass field southeast of McCulloch Stadium. Registration closes promptly at 7:30 am. The Start of the 5k Run & Walk is 7:45 am. Prizes and awards ceremony will be held at the main stage near the soapbox derby hill at 9:00 am.

T-Shirts: (only 80 available)
For an additional $10, you may purchase the 100% preshrunk cotton, 59th Annual Art Fair & Festival T-shirt, featuring the Walk & Run for the Arts and its sponsors. The front of the T-shirt features this year's poster artwork in full color. Early registration is encouraged to guarantee the correct size of the limited edition shirts
Prize Drawing and Awards:
Local Salem Art Association ceramic artists will create distinctive ceramic pottery as awards for this event. These collector's items will be are awarded to the Overall and Master's Men's and Women's winners, as well as the overall winners in the following age divisions (2nd and 3rd place receive merchandise donated by Brooks and Gallagher Fitness)

Note: Walkers are welcome! However, judges are not available, so there are no walk specific awards.
Awards not picked up must be retrieved from Gallagher Fitness Resources by August 31. Awards unclaimed after that day will be forfeited.
NOTE: Awards will not be mailed to winners.
Results:
Any additional information about this event as well as post-race results will be available at Gallagher Fitness Resources in downtown Salem and the event website. Results will be posted on-line by the Monday after the race, at: www.ActiveSalem.com/events/artfair.
