DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Yahoo! Maps. Turn off Interstate 5 at the KEIZER EXIT (Exit 260). Proceed west on Lockhaven to River Road. Turn left on River Road. Ample parking will be available at St. Edward's Catholic Church on the west side of River Road (across the street from the Wittenberg Inn). NOTE: Parking will not be available at the Wittenberg Inn.

The Course: Participants in the Salem Electric Iris Run 5k start and finish at the Wittenberg Inn just off River Road in the City of Keizer. For the first time the course will be completely on the IRIS FESTIVAL PARADE Route. Runners and walkers can expect an enthusiastic crowd of thousands of spectators to cheer them on their way! The course is an out and back on River Road and is relatively flat (and FAST!) Runners and walkers will go south to the turnaround at the halfway point of the event and then return north to the finish line.

All finishers will be treated to the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Iris Days Festival held in the Wittenberg Inn parking lot. Everyone crossing the finish line will receive a long-stemmed Iris, compliments of Schreiner's Iris Gardens.

Overall Awards:
Men's & Women's Overall Winners AND Men's & Women's Masters Winners will each receive an $85.00 certificate good for Nike shoes or clothing items at Gallagher Fitness Resources. In addition to overall winners, Nike Merchandise and Ribbons will be awarded three deep in these age groups:

Prizes not claimed at awards ceremony must be picked up from Gallagher Fitness Resources by June 14, 2003. Awards unclaimed after that day will be forfeited.

NOTE: Awards will not be mailed to winners.

Since 1979, a running/walking event has been a traditional part of the Keizer Iris Festival. The first "Keizer Days Run for Life" was sponsored in part by the Keizer merchants and a young company called Blue Ribbon Sports (forerunner to Nike). For the 4th year, Nike teams up with Gallagher Fitness Resources and title sponsor, Salem Electric, for the 2003 Edition of the Iris Run!
